Byford Rail Extension planning is moving to the next phase with key consultants being sought out to inform planning.
 
Consultants will support the business case which assesses the options for the proposed to connect Byford to the Armadale Line to identify the preferred solution to move into the project definition phase. The planning work will also consider an extension to Mundijong to ensure the project integrates with potential longer term land use and transport outcomes.
 
The METRONET team will also seek expressions of interest for engineering and land use planning consultants in the coming weeks. The consultants will also inform the business case including reviewing station location and design options, potential land uses and development outcomes.
