Designing a new train line and stations is no mean feat. For months, architects and designers have been gathering information and insights to guide their designs for the Morley-Ellenbrook Line.

The draft Morley Station Precinct Concept Master Plan, a blueprint for the long-term urban renewal around the new Morley Station, is now available for public comment.

Before main works begin for the Morley-Ellenbrook Line, in January Noongar Whadjuk elders Marion Collard and Greg Ugle provided a Welcome to Country with a traditional wanna (digging) stick and a smoking ceremony to establish a safe pathway for the project workforce.

A train station won’t be the only new community facility coming to Ellenbrook, with Ellenbrook Christian College set to have a new sports pavilion thanks to a partnership with the State Government.

Wotton Skate Park will be relocated by the City of Bayswater, with $2.5m provided by METRONET.

Works are officially under way on the Tonkin Gap project which will undertake enabling works for the Morley-Ellenbrook Line.
