Midland Line Shutdown

The Midland Line Shutdown, originally scheduled to commence on 23 September, will now take place in early-2023 for critical works.

The shutdown is required to remove and replace about 1.8km of track and other rail systems.

Works

Standard work hours are Monday to Saturday, 7am-7pm, and any out-of-hours works are indicated below. All works will follow approved noise and traffic management plans, and every effort will be made to minimise impacts. For questions about project works, please email info@metronet.wa.gov.au or call 9326 3666.


Early site investigation (until late-October)

Geotechnical investigations, service locations and water sampling and testing around the Midland Station site.

Until mid-October, passenger parking will be impacted at the Midland Station car park to facilitate early site investigation works.
