All aboard at Claremont Station

  • 28 May 2021

We are very excited to have Claremont Station back in action from Tuesday 1 June, following vital works to the 135-year-old heritage-listed station.

Given its age and historic significance, the intricate works were necessary to ensure Perth’s oldest train station building continues to safely service our network and passengers for many more decades to come.

The station was temporarily closed earlier this year to install two turnbacks and new overhead lines, as part of METRONET’s Forrestfield-Airport Link, which will see services travel between High Wycombe and Claremont, and allow trains to turn around and head back towards Perth and the Airport.

While the station will reopen to passengers, work on the customer service assistant office and inactive platform will continue. These are expected to be completed at the end of June.

Passengers should plan ahead and visit Transperth, sign up for My Alerts, download the Transperth app or call the Transperth InfoLine on 13 62 13 for more information.
