WA local businesses needed for METRONET projects

  • 11 August 2020

When the call went out for local businesses to help build METRONET projects, Landsdale business Pulse Locating responded and were awarded Utility Locating work through NEWest Alliance.

Pulse filled in their business details on the METRONET Construction Business Register, which was provided to NEWest Alliance at contract award as a list of potential local businesses to subcontract work out to.

From this list Pulse was identified to undertake underground service location works for the Thornlie-Cockburn Link and Yanchep Rail Extension projects.

Pulse General Manager Chris Lee said this contract has put the business in a position where they have a safety net of work for the near future, giving the business security for the coming years. The contract has also allowed the company to hire two new employees.

He said the work provides direct benefits to staff, allowing for internal growth with more training along with the opportunity to be involved with two of Perth’s major infrastructure projects.

In recent years Pulse has completed work on a number of transport infrastructure projects, including Stage One and Two of NorthLink and the Claremont Station project.

Looking forward, Pulse is hoping this experience will help build the business and present more opportunities to be involved with other METRONET projects.

If you’re a local WA business interested in work on METRONET projects, register your services on our Construction Business Register.
