Nothing adds the finishing touches to a brand-new train station quite like an assortment of public art and if you visit Bayswater Station, you’ll notice four eye-catching works already in place.
Leake Street underpass has been transformed with a bright mural of local flora and fauna; a mural with the place name Biraliny greets visitors at the station entry; illustrations of Bayswater’s history await passengers on the platforms; and 160m of vibrant flora and fauna add colour to noise walls on Whatley Crescent.
Keep your eye out over the next few months for poetry integrated into art, seating sculptures in the station forecourt and artwork commemorating the old Baysie Bridge.
