We’re seeking your input on the new public spaces that will be created around the new elevated Carlisle and Oats Street stations as part of the METRONET Victoria Park-Canning Level Crossing Removal Project!

The area currently occupied will be transformed, with the proposed features around Carlisle and Oats Street stations including playgrounds, fitness zones, basketball courts, skate parks, shared paths, public art and activation spaces for community activities and events.

During the early planning phase, community feedback was sought on design principles that will created by removing six level crossings and replacing them with elevated rail between Victoria Park and Beckenham.

High-level concept designs were created based on the key themes from the consultation and were workshopped and refined by incorporating feedback from local government, community reference groups and the broader community.

Concept designs for the City of Canning section which covers Queens Park and Cannington stations, and surrounding areas will be released in coming months with another public comment period, and Beckenham Station, within the City of Gosnells, will follow shortly thereafter.

The public comment period is now closed for the Town of Victoria Park section of the project which includes Oats Street and Carlisle stations.
