More than 310 people from the construction industry headed to Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre to hear from the Public Transport Authority on upcoming METRONET rail projects. Executive Director, Major Projects Ross Hamilton and Project Director Kevin Guppy outlined how the Thornlie-Cockburn Link and Yanchep Rail Extension projects will be delivered under a single Alliance contract, which will start with an Expression of Interest in the coming weeks and progress to a competitive Target Outturn Cost process in late 2018. Combined, these projects are expected to generate more than 3,000 jobs in WA. In the next six to 12 months procurement will also begin for the Bayswater Station Upgrade and Denny Avenue Level Crossing Removal projects.
