A partnership between the Claremont Station Project and Scotch College has given students a first-hand glimpse into the art world.

We are very excited to have Claremont Station back in action from Tuesday 1 June, following vital works to the 135-year-old heritage-listed station.

Eight weeks, 24/7 works and more than 125,000 working hours.

As work on the 135-year-old heritage listed Claremont Station began on February 5, previously-hidden elements were gradually unearthed, which has now turned the work into a one-of-a-kind series of heritage restoration works.

Built in 1886, Claremont Station is the oldest station on the network and to ensure the iconic building stands long into the future some extra work is needed before the Station can reopen.

The Claremont Station Project is a multi-million dollar upgrade which will improve passenger experience, increase service frequency and allow direct access to the Forrestfield-Airport Link. 

Recently the Claremont Station Project recently held an Aboriginal Cultural Toolbox to mark the halfway point of the two-month intensive period of construction.

To build vital infrastructure for METRONET projects major disruptions on the Armadale and Fremantle Lines are planned for early 2021.

2019 was a huge year for METRONET with a number of major milestones had.

Based on feedback received from the Claremont stakeholders, a new pedestrian overpass at Claremont Station is postponed while more planning is undertaken.

METRONET made its debut at the 2019 Perth Royal Show giving show goers a glimpse inside the Forrestfield-Airport Link tunnels and information on all other projects.
