We’re really excited that the first design of the new Lakelands Station has dropped, providing the initial look and feel of the station.
The design draws on local natural features like the wetlands, Serpentine River, Yalbanberup Pool and Paganoni Lake.
The station also includes everything you’d need, such as an entry building, pedestrian overpass, public restrooms, platforms on either side of the rail line, and landscaping featuring native species.
The new station will also have a bus interchange, cycling facilities and a car park with approximately 400 bays, and pedestrian and cycling friendly paths, giving passengers plenty of choice for accessing Lakelands Station.
Once the project receives Development Approval, the design will be developed in more detail.
Construction will start mid this year and Lakelands Station will reduce the need for commuters to travel significant distances to access train services.
