Not only will Whiteman Park Station connect people to our unique tourist attraction, it will also give thousands of people planned to live in a new development an approximate 25-minute train ride into the Perth CBD.
Stage one of the Brabham development is underway, which will see about 600 lots developed close to the Whiteman Park Station, giving its future residents much greater ease of public transport.
The entire Brabham development, which is a joint partnership between Department of Communities, Peet Limited and the Perron Group, is a long-term project that is expected to eventually see about 3,000 homes on 2,600 residential lots.
Future planning has already begun for two public parks, two primary schools and a high school with much more to come around retail and commercial opportunities, as well as a diverse range of housing including a mix of housing options, with a focus concentrated around Whiteman Park Station.
METRONET is the catalyst to turn over 5,000 hectares of land around new stations, such as those within the Brabham development, into desirable places for investment in housing, jobs and services for growing communities.
