$2.5m allocated to relocate Morley skate park

  • 9 December 2020

Wotton Skate Park will be relocated by the City of Bayswater, with $2.5m provided by METRONET.

The skate park and BMX track in Wotton Reserve will be impacted by the new Morley Station’s multi-storey carpark and access road.

Much loved by the community in Morley and surrounds, and by skateboarders across Perth, it was clear through the Morley-Ellenbrook Line consultation that the facility would need to be relocated.

In response to this strong community feedback, METRONET will provide $2.5m to the City of Bayswater to find a new home for the skate park and BMX track and to rebuild the facility.

The replacement facility will be a City of Bayswater asset, and the City will lead the consultation, design, and delivery. Two potential locations are being investigated, Broun Park in Embleton and Elstead Reserve in Morley. Visit Engage Bayswater to find out more.

Morley Station is one of five new stations on the Morley-Ellenbrook Line, which will add 21km of track to Perth’s rail network, and more transport choice to residents in the city’s north-east.
