Eight locals have now been chosen to form the Lakelands Station Community Reference Group (CRG), which will provide a local point of view for the project team as design and construction progresses.

The CRG is also a forum for members to provide feedback, raise any concerns and review processes and outcomes where appropriate.

The successful representatives were drawn from an impressive 47 nominations and represent a cross-section of the community in terms of demographics, geography and interests, based on criteria in the Terms of Reference.

The Lakelands Station CRG members are: Iain Benwood, Benjamin Capey, Bobbi-lee Fairclough (Coastal Lakes College), Emma Fieldwick, Keith Hayes, Jim Hill, Kelly Howell, Delene Plunkett (Silver Sands Resort).

The first meeting has been scheduled for early November and minutes will be published on the Lakelands Station project page.
