The long-awaited Mitchell Freeway Extension to Romeo Road north of Perth will open on 10 July.

When open, the freeway will extend north from Hester Avenue in Clarkson through to Romeo Road in Alkimos, creating a new high-standard north-south transport link in Perth's north-west.

The METRONET Yanchep Rail Extension Project collaborated with Main Roads as part of the project which saw Romeo Road built, as well as the new east-west road link from Wanneroo Road to Marmion Avenue.

This included a new road-over-rail bridge on Romeo Road which was finished earlier this year.

The Yanchep Rail Extension is due for completion at the end of this year, with services commencing in the new year.
