Nominations open for Community Reference Groups on METRONET projects.

  • 28 May 2019

The Public Transport Authority as part of METRONET is establishing four Community Reference Groups (CRG’s) for the Thornlie-Cockburn Link, Yanchep Rail Extension and Denny Avenue Level Crossing Removal projects.

Given the breadth of the Thornlie-Cockburn Link, and the density of surrounding residential areas, two zones have been identified and two CRG's will be selected for this project.

All residents, businesses and community groups within their respective project area are invited to submit a nomination to join the project CRG. The CRG will be an opportunity for members to learn more about the project planning, construction and delivery phases. It will also enable members to provide feedback, raise any concerns and review outcomes where appropriate.

The CRG’s will be made up of a diverse group of members residing or located within the project zone. Applications will close on July 5 and all nominees will be notified of the outcome once the selection process is complete.

Successful members will be invited to the first meeting that is anticipated to be held early August.
