Friends, families and neighbours will come together on Sunday 1 May to celebrate the opening of the new Kelmscott Station Plaza.
The Celebrate Kelmscott Fun Day is a free community event from 12 – 3pm, where locals are invited to enjoy a free sausage sizzle, live music and kids’ entertainment. There will be face painters, giant bubbles, a graffiti art workshop, Aboriginal dancers, a circus performer, and magician.
The Kelmscott Primary School P&C will be cooking up sausages – free for the first 300 people, and there will be drinks, coffee and ice-creams for sale.
Local photographers Neil McLagan, Simon Lewis and Kelly Pilgrim-Byrne will showcase their talents in the ‘Proudly Goolamup’ Photographic Exhibition. The exhibition celebrates the people of Goolamup (Kelmscott), including some of the local business owners.
The exhibition will be in the renovated Station Master’s House, giving locals a chance to have a sneak peek inside the historic home.
There will be special giveaways on the day, and we will launch the Buy Local, Celebrate Kelmscott rewards program where residents can win up to $1,000 of shopping vouchers.
