Survey results are in

  • 11 June 2018

Thank you again to the 972 people who took the time to go online and complete our survey on what you’d like to see considered in the Bayswater Station upgrade design.

The feedback and findings were provided to the design team to review and feed into their design brief.

We have created a fact sheet of the survey results (PDF) for your information and will be validating and clarifying the results with the Community Advisory Group at our meeting last night.

Some of the survey results highlights include:

  • Look and feel – while more people would like to see a more modern design, majority agree the design should reference the local history and tie into the local context.
  • Safe & Functional – a safe and functional station with increased lighting was strongly felt by the community.
  • Landscaping - trees for shelter and shade suggested around the station.
  • Amenity - shelter from the elements required at platform level.

What’s next from here?

Over the coming months the team will consider a range of factors and stakeholder inputs to develop the station design.

The Community Advisory Group will play an important input into this process to capture the area’s history and context and address community concerns as best as possible.

More information will be provided as the project develops.
