Bayswater Station Upgrade tender released to market

  • 11 April 2019

The $146 million Bayswater Station Upgrade is one step closer with a Request for Proposal (RFP) for an alliance to design and construct the upgrade released to market.

The successful contractor must demonstrate their ability to design the station in keeping with the area’s context and build the station with minimal impacts to the local road network and Midland Line.

The successful contractor will also be required to work closely with local businesses and the community as the work is planned and the design of the station progresses. A community reference group has been formed to continue discussions on these elements.

The Bayswater Station Upgrade is an exciting project and a strategic location on Perth’s rail network. The Forrestfield-Airport Link, due for completion in 2021, will spur off the Midland line at Bayswater Station and the potential for the Morley-Ellenbrook Line to do so as well is currently under investigation.

RFP applications close in May, with contract award and construction set to start by the end of the year.
