METRONET is building communities, not just rail lines, and the Men’s Shed in Ellenbrook is one community group benefiting from the new METRONET Morley-Ellenbrook Line Project.
The team provides support through fundraising activities for local community groups, including recently raising $550 for the Men’s Shed to help facilitate positive lifestyle choices and health outcomes.
Research suggests Men’s Sheds can improve mobility, diet and physical health knowledge, as well as support participants through personal struggles.
The Men’s Shed crew were grateful to receive the funds in the form of Bunnings vouchers, which they’ll use to replenish supplies in their workshop. President of the Ellenbrook Men’s Shed, Colin Dacey, thanked the team for their generous donation.
